Customization Request - Make "Family Name" Required on Registration Form

Dear Leconfe Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are using Leconfe Cloud to organize the "Scientific Days of the University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (USTTB)" https://event.leconfe.com/uostatob/scheduled/JSUSTTB2026/register.

On our registration page (/register), we noticed that the "Family name" field is currently optional. For academic and administrative consistency, we would like to make this field mandatory/required for all users registering on our conference platform.

Could you please assist us with this customization? If there is an option in the backend settings that we may have missed, please let us know.

Thank you for using Leconfe Cloud and for bringing this matter to our attention.

Regarding your request to make the “Family Name” field mandatory, we have discussed this with our development team. We truly appreciate your valuable feedback, as it helps us improve our platform.

We are currently planning to add a configuration option that will allow administrators to set this field as required or optional, according to their needs.

Once this update has been completed and deployed, we will inform you promptly.

Thank you for your patience.

We would like to inform you that our team has recently updated the Leconfe system. With this update, Conference manager can now configure several fields in the registration form to be either required or optional, including the “Family Name” field.

To configure this setting, please follow these steps:

Go to Settings -> Setup Tab -> Setup

From there, you will be able to manage which fields are required for user registration.
